Dean Engelhard writes in his complete collection of cohen songs (ftp.uwp.edu
/pub/music/lyrics) that Cohen had performed this german folk song (Texts of songs ).
It was never released on CD (as much as I know).
The song (Texts of songs ) was written between 1780 and 1800, at the time of the French
Revolution.
