According to Mitch's explanation, Dooley was a well known moonshiner
in the Dillards' hometown of Salem, Missouri (Dent County). And he
did have two daughters, one of them named Vagina Sue. ("All zitty
and hairy -- and she was the *pretty* one!")

And mama corked the bottles when old Dooley fetched them out.

The revenuers came for him, a'slippin' through the woods
Dooley kept behind them all and never lost his goods.
Dooley was a trader, when into town he'd come
Sugar by the bushel and molasses by the drum.
I remember very well the day old Dooley died
The women folk looked sorry and the men stood round and cried
Now Dooley's on the mountain, he lies up there alone
They put a jug beside him and a barrel for a stone
Dooley's now a legend, he's known both far and wide
The old folks still remember him whenever they get fried
His homebrew was delicious, 'twas damn good stuff he sold
But Dooley's gone forever and his liquor's gone for gold.
